Parkway Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Untreated Firewood Ban
Blue Ridge Parkway officials are seeking public comment regarding a proposed policy to allow only heat-treated firewood that is bundled and bearing a seal from USDA, or a state agency, for use in Parkway camping and picnic areas.

Tourism to Blue Ridge Parkway creates $952 Million in Economic Benefits
Fifteen million visitors to the Parkway in 2015 spent $952.1 million in communities near the park. This spending supported 15,337 jobs across the region and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $1.3 billion.
