Restoration of the Sharp Top Trail
Sharp Top Trail, near Peaks of Otter (Milepost 86), will be closed on weekdays for trail reconstruction from July 18 - September 17, 2016. The trail will be closed from the Nature Center near the Peaks of Otter Visitor Center to the intersection with the Summit Loop Trail near the Sharp Top Bus Shelter. The trail will be open on Saturday and Sunday of each week.

Fifteen million visitors to the Parkway in 2015 spent $952.1 million in communities near the park. This spending supported 15,337 jobs across the region and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $1.3 billion.
