Oneida, Tennessee - Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area invites you to mark your calendars for one of the region’s most cherished traditions, the 33rd Annual Haunting in the Hills Storytelling Festival, happening Saturday, September 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (ET) at the Bandy Creek Visitor Center area.
This free, family-friendly event celebrates the magic of storytelling in the heart of Appalachia. Enjoy a full day of captivating tales, live music, traditional crafts, and hands-on activities set against the stunning backdrop of Big South Fork. Bring a lawn chair or blanket so you can settle in and enjoy storytelling under the open sky. For more than three decades, this tradition has captivated audiences with tales that celebrate Appalachian heritage.
On-site parking is available, and the venue offers accessible entry and facilities. Whether you’ve attended before or are coming for the first time, it will be a memorable day filled with stories, community, and Appalachian heritage.
