Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area staff are currently working on Station Camp Creek Trail in Tennessee and Yahoo Falls Trail in Kentucky. Work on Station Camp Creek Trail includes improving trail tread, repairing drainage failures in washed out areas, and repairing/painting trail signage. Work is expected to be completed by mid-November but is dependent on weather conditions.
Repairs on Yahoo Falls Trail will include improved the trail corridor, drainage features and signage repair. Staff will also repair the trail tread, three bridges, and make improvements to overlook structures. Work on this project is expected to be done by spring.
“We appreciate visitors' patience as the park works to improve these heavily used trails to bring them back to excellent condition,” said Superintendent Niki Stephanie Nicholas.
