Live Music to Accompany the 33rd Annual Haunting in the Hills Festival at Big South Fork

Oneida, Tennessee - The 33rd Annual Haunting in the Hills Storytelling Festival returns to the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area on Saturday, September 20, bringing with it a full day of stories, heritage, and music. From morning workshops to evening performances, music will be present throughout the festival grounds, offering opportunities for both participation and performance.

The Knoxville Area Dulcimer Club will lead free workshops during the day and invite visitors to try the dulcimer while making music together. A flute circle will also perform, adding to the atmosphere with live music throughout the day.

As the evening begins, concerts will take place on the main stage. At 6:00 p.m. ET, Crazy Chester will perform. The duo, banjo player Paul “Hoss” Davis and guitarist Kenny Gilreath, perform together with a mix of folk, classic rock, and Americana. At 7:00 p.m. ET, Gerald Hanright, a musician from Rugby, Tennessee, will follow with a performance that blends blues, jazz, and rock ’n’ roll.

The festival will be held at the Bandy Creek Visitor Center area of Big South Fork. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome to take part in a day of storytelling, music, and community.
