Deceased Individual Found at Kentucky District Parking Area

The body of a 33-year-old female was found in the parking lot of Split Bow Arch Overlook Parking Area on December 1, 2021. The cause of death is suspected to be drug overdose. McCreary County Sheriff's Office is investigating and will make the final determination.

The body was recovered with assistance from McCreary County Sheriff's Office Deputies, McCreary County Emergency Medical Services, and the McCreary County Coroner.

The parking area is located within park boundaries in the Kentucky District of the park, in McCreary County, Kentucky.
