Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area will be observing National Park Week from Saturday, April 20-28. The week will kick off with free backcountry camping permits as well as free camping at Alum Ford Campground on Saturday, April 20.National Park Week also commemorates:
- April 20: National Junior Ranger Day
- April 21: Military & Veterans Recognition Day
- April 22: Earth Day
- April 27: Bark Ranger Day
