Get outdoors and take part in the celebration of National Public Lands Day with Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

To help celebrate National Public Lands Day the park is looking for volunteers to help build out the last section of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail.

All interested in volunteering should meet at 8:30 AM (ET) at:
R.M. Brooks General Store
2830 Rugby Parkway
Robbins, Tennessee 37852

Please wear long pants and sturdy footwear.

Established in 1994 and held annually on the fourth Saturday in September, National Public Lands Day is traditionally the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort. It celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits.
