Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is hosting the 21st annual Spring Planting and Music Festival on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Traditional arts and crafts as well as music will be included as part of the festival throughout the day.

Traditional activities, such as old-timey toys, woodcarving, hand spinning yarn, old-fashioned embroidery, farrier services, trapping, farm animals and birds of prey, plowing with mule and horse teams, planting sorghum seed, and basic gardening will be on full display.

Help us celebrate the arrival of spring and the Appalachian way of life that has been such an important part of the history of the Big South Fork area. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy a great day of good food and music.

This free event starts at 9:00 AM and last until 4:00 PM (ET). For more information, visit our website www.nps.gov/biso, or call 423-569-9778.
