Kuzitrin Lake

Kuzitrin Lake

Kuzitrin Lake provides an excellent starting point for off-trail journeys into the Lost Jim lava fields, the Bendeleben Mountains, and the nearby Twin Calderas. A variety of wildlife are found near the lake, including wolves, brown bears, foxes, and caribou. This is also one of the better places to see moose in Bering Land Bridge National Preserve. Kuzitrin lake is accessible by floatplane, non-motorized vehicles, or by foot. Fishing is popular, with several species of fish living in the lake.
