Images from Aztec Ruins
Numerous artifacts, from plain domestic wares to exotic trade goods, were found at Aztec Ruins.
The Great Kiva at Aztec West is the third largest kiva ever excavated. It was reconstructed by archeologist Earl Morris in 1934.
The main archeological site is a large ancestral Pueblo Great House with over 400 rooms. Many people think it was built for ceremonial or social purposes.
