Earn a Junior Ranger Badge When You Visit the Park!

Become a Junior Ranger and earn an Aztec Ruins Junior Ranger wooden badge (pictured right) by exploring the park and answering questions in our Junior Ranger activity booklet, provided free at the visitor center. Learn about the history and preservation of this place while making connections to the ancestral Pueblo world. The Junior Ranger program is open to all ages--just ask a ranger at the front desk for a copy of the booklet!

Earn an Aztec Ruins Junior Ranger Patch Online!

You can earn an Aztec Ruins Junior Ranger patch (pictured below) by completing Junior Ranger activities online! You will learn about the daily lives of ancestral Pueblo people, the food they ate, their music, their artwork, the Great Kiva at Aztec Ruins, and how we preserve the site today. Once you watch four videos and do four activities, have a parent help you fill out the address form, and we will mail your patch.

Classrooms are welcome to do the Junior Ranger program. Teachers should contact the park upon completion at AZRU_Information@nps.gov specifying their class size. The program is designed for elementary school-aged students. Good luck!
