Temporary Trail Closures for Habitat Restoration 2026
Trail Closures: June 30 – July 1, 2026
A significant portion of trails and carriage roads within the Marsh‑Billings‑Rockefeller National Historical Park boundary will be closed for habitation restoration beginning the afternoon and early evening of Tuesday, June 30. These closures may continue through Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Trail Access Restrictions
Barriers will be placed at the following junctions:
East Side (Main Entrance):
- Upper Meadow Rd / Mountain Rd
- Cemetery Rd / Billings Farm Trail
West Side (Prosper Entrance):
- North Ridge Loop / Pogue Loop
- North Ridge Loop / Summer Pasture Rd
- North Ridge Loop / Spring Lot
South Entrance (King Farm):
- Maple Trail / King Farm Loop
- Maple Trail / Red Pine Loop
For your safety, please follow all posted signage.
Trails Remaining Open
The following trails will remain open during the closure:
- Prosper trailhead to North Ridge Loop
- Main entrance to Junior Ranger Loop
- Faulkner trailhead to South Peak
- King Farm trailhead to Acer Loop
