Puma Profiles: P-13

Mountain Lion looking into camera at night.

Female
Initial capture date: Summer 2009

Like P-10, she’s the product of first-order inbreeding by P-1, her father and grandfather, and P-6. First captured at about 15 months old in the summer of 2009, she grew into adulthood, eventually mating with P-12 three times and giving birth to at least nine kittens total. Like P-2, she expands her range as her kittens reach about one year of age, presumably to encourage dispersal. Her collar dropped off in February 2015, so it is unknown whether she is currently alive.
