Great Egg Harbor Wild and Scenic River
The Great Egg Harbor was designated on October 27, 1992, making this year its 28th anniversary! As a partnership river, the Great Egg Harbor National Scenic and Recreational River is a cooperatively-managed unit of the National Park Service. Its designation was based on the outstandingly remarkable historic, recreational, cultural, hydrologic, and natural resource values. For our October 2020 Newsletter, we are highlighting a few of the spectacular people and activities that can be found along the Great Egg’s waters, from their exceptional river stewards and teachers to the roaring recreation. Please join us in celebrating the beautiful Great Egg Harbor River’s past and future!
