National Park Service Request for Proposals (RFP) for Caneel Bay Property

The Caneel Bay resort has historically represented an early model of eco-tourist luxury accommodations. Since hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, the resort is no longer operating because many of the guest rooms and other support structures were severely damaged by the hurricanes.
The best qualified offeror responding to this RFP, as determined by the NPS, will be invited to negotiate the terms of a final lease in the fall or winter of 2026.

Site Visit
The NPS will hold site visits on June 4 & 5, 2026. Additional dates may be added if necessary. More details on the site visit and how to RSVP are provided in the RFP. All parties interested in attending should RSVP no later than June 17, 2026, by 2:00 P.M. ET.Questions and Answers
