For 2014, the Antietam National Battlefield Visitor Center in Sharpsburg, Maryland will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm. The Visitor Center has exhibits, a museum store and a 26-minute introductory film that is shown every half hour starting at 9:00 a.m., with the last showing at 4:00 p.m. Park Rangers will present programs in the visitor center every day at10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Park grounds are open during daylight hours. The 2014 calendar matches the calendar of 1862. In September the park will commemorate the events of the Maryland Campaign as close as possible to the day and date that the events of the campaign took place.
