Fritch, TX- Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument is undergoing renovations and will receive brand new museum exhibits. To complete the installation, the Visitors Center will be closed March 9-20, 2015. Park Headquarters at Lake Meredith Recreation Area will remain open during normal business hours M-F 8:00-4:30 p.m.

Alibates Visitors Center received a fresh coat of paint and the new exhibits will be installed during the temporary closing of the center. "This is an exciting time for us as we prepare to update and upgrade our facility," said Chief Tim Cruze, Chief of Interpretation for Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument and Lake Meredith National Recreation Area. "The new exhibits renovation will provide the opportunity for hands-on activities using groundbreaking technologies to inspire learning and experimentation for all age groups. Visitors can explore the collections and exhibitions and enjoy this new participatory experience, specifically designed to engage all audiences—students, teachers, families, young children, and the general public."

Please visit the newly renovated Alibates Visitors Center after March 20, 2015, to view the new exhibits.
