Fritch, TX -- Superintendent Robert Maguire is pleased to announce the completion of the Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan (ORV Plan) for Lake Meredith National Recreation Area. The plan is a culmination of a great deal of time, energy and input from members of the public, other agencies and the National Park Service (NPS). The ORV Plan provides a comprehensive document which will guide the management and control of ORVs at the national recreation area for the next 15 to 20 years. The plan will also form the basis for special regulations to manage ORV use at the national recreation area.

The Draft Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan / Environmental Impact Statement was distributed to other agencies and interested organizations and individuals for review and comment. This Final Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan / Environmental Impact Statement includes the comments received on the draft plan and the NPS responses. The document also includes a correction (errata) sheet that describes the minor changes made to the draft in response to comments received.

The Final Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan / Environmental Impact Statement is now available on the National Park Service Website athttps://parkplanning.nps.gov/lamr.A limited number of hard copies and compact discs of the Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan / Environmental Impact Statement are available from the park upon request.
