The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park is holding volunteer orientation training days for those wishing to volunteer at the park's visitor center information desk. Classes are limited to 8 prospective volunteers. Those wishing to participate are asked to call the park's visitor center to make a reservation. The required class is free and spots will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Training is scheduled for the following dates and times: Thursday, June 27 - 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EDT) Monday, July 15 - 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EDT) Thursday, August 29 - 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EDT) Prospective volunteers will learn about the National Park Service's history and about the history and formation of the park.
