The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park will host a "Park Clean-Up Day" on Saturday, April 27 from 9:30 am to 1:30pm Eastern Time. Those interested in participating are encouraged to register for the event by calling the park's visitors center at 270-358-3137.

"Volunteers will be involved in several maintenance projects including mulching around the plants and trees in the park as well as picking up trash and debris," said park superintendent Bill Justice.  "The volunteers working on these projects will be helping us keep the park a beautiful and inviting place for our visitors."

This event is being held on National Volunteer Day.  Volunteers across the country are working in our national parks on improvement and service projects on this day.

For more information or to register, call the park at 270-358-3137 or visit www.nps.gov/abli.
