Hodgenville, KY. - The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park invites you to read a book with Park Rangers through their new book club "Parks and Pages." The first book club discussion will be held on January 24, 2020, at 3:00 P.M. EST. Throughout 2020, the park will be announcing books that you can read and then join in a discussion with Park Rangers. Participants can join in the discussion by either coming to the Birthplace Visitor Center, or join virtually through the park's Facebook page using the "Facebook Live" feature. All of the books chosen for this first year will be on the theme of "Presidential First Ladies of the United States." The first book will appropriately be about Mary Todd Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln's wife and fellow Kentuckian. The book entitled Mrs. Lincoln and Mrs. Keckly: The Remarkable Story of the Friendship Between a First Lady and a Former Slave by Jennifer Fleschners will be the January 2020 selection. This month's book is available in the park's book store and a couple of copies will also be available through the park's library for loan.
