News Release Date: January 29, 2015 The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park is holding volunteer orientation training days for those wishing to volunteer at the park's visitor center information desk. Classes are limited to 8 prospective volunteers. Those wishing to participate are asked to call the park's visitor center to make a reservation. The required training class is free and spots will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Please call the park's visitor center at 270-358-3137 to make your reservation. Training is scheduled for the following dates and times:
Prospective volunteers will learn about the National Park Service's history and about the history and formation of the park. The training will include a tour of the park grounds and facilities.
