Additional short-term road work starting Tuesday December 9, 2025

• Jackson Road Bridge: December 9-10, 2025

  • Confederate Ave Bridge over Jackson Rd will be a single-lane. Flaggers will direct traffic.

  • Work will include scupper extensions and asphaltic plug repairs on the bridge over Jackson Road.

• Sherman Road: December 9 – 18, 2025

  • Circle will be closed to pedestrians and vehicles

  • Work will include repairing drains and stabilizing slopes

This is proactive, preventive work to address issues before they become larger concerns.

How do I get my passport stamp?

The park has four Passport stamps. All four are located at the USS Cairo Museum (Seven days a week 8:30AM-4:30PM): National Park, Shirley House, National Cemetery, and USS Cairo. Two (Park and Shirley House) are located at the Visitor Center (Wednesday-Sunday, 8:30AM-4:30PM). Additionally, there is a large non-passport stamp with an image of the USS Cairo located at the USS Cairo Museum.
