Vicksburg National Military Park is one of the most densely monumented battlefields in the world with over 1,340 monuments, markers, tablets and plaques, 95% of which were erected prior to 1917. This extensive collection of outdoor art features stone and bronze work created by some of the most renowned American sculptors of the era.
