Monument located on Union Avenue at Battery DeGolyer (Park Tour Stop 1). This unit was attached to Maj. Charles J. Stolbrand's Artillery Command, of Maj. Gen. John A. Logan's 3d Division, Maj. Gen. James B. McPherson's XVII Army Corps, and commanded by Capt. Samuel DeGolyer (mortally wounded 28 May 1863) and Lt. Theodore W. Lockwood.
