Monument located Union Avenue 400 yards south of Jackson Road, just north of Battery DeGoyler. Also a marker designating a sharpshooter's line on Pemberton Avenue south of the ranger station; a marker designating the assault of 22 May 1863, located on Confederate Avenue down the east slope from the Louisiana Memorial and a marker designating the site where Col. James J. Dollins was killed on 22 May 1863. This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. John D. Stevenson's 3rd Brigade of Maj. Gen. John A. Logan's 3rd Division, Maj. Gen. James B. McPherson's XVII Army Corps and was commanded by Col.s James J, Dollins (killed 22 May 1863) & Franklin Campbell.
