This unit attached to Col. Moses M. Bane's 3rd Brigade of Brig. Gen. Grenville M. Dodge's 2nd Division, Maj. Gen. Richard J. Oglesby's Left Wing, XVI Army Corps, District of Corinth and was commanded by Lt. Col. Richard Rowett & Maj. George H. Estabrook.
