Monument located on Union Avenue 250 yards south of the Iowa Memorial. Also a marker designating the assaults of 22 May 1863, located 400' west of Union Avenue, southwest of the Old Reunion Grounds. This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Albert L. Lee (wounded 19 May 1863) & Col. James Keigwin's 1st Brigade of Brig. Gen. Peter J. Osterhaus' 9th Division, Maj. Gen'ls John A. McClernand (relieved of command 19 June 1863) & Edward O.C. Ord's XIII Army Corps and was commanded by Col. Thomas W. Bennett & Lt. Col. Owen Perry.
