Iron tablet located outside of Vicksburg National Military Park, on former park property in the City of Vicksburg, on Confederate Avenue south of Vicksburg Middle School. This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Seth M. Barton’s 1st Brigade, of Maj. Gen. Carter L. Stevenson’s Division, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton’s Army of Vicksburg, and commanded by Maj. John Jay Moore and Col. C.D. Phillips. [Refer to Gen. S.M.
