Monument is located on Union Avenue 200 yards south of the Iowa Memorial. Company L Marker on Union Avenue 100 yards north of the Iowa Memorial. This unit was headquarters escort for Maj. Gen'ls John A. McClernand (relieved 6/19/63) & Edward O.C. Ord's XIII Army Corps and was commanded by Capt. David R. Sparks. [Refer to Osterhaus of Missouri.]
