Monument located on Confederate Avenue south of the Louisiana Memorial (Park Tour Stop 11), two iron tablets located on Confederate Avenue at Stockade Redan (Park Tour Stop 10), and an iron tablet located on Confederate Avenue 200 yards south of the Louisiana Memorial. This unit attached to Brig. Gen. Louis Hébert's 1st Brigade, of Maj. Gen. John H. Forney's Division, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Army of Vicksburg, and commanded by Col. W. W. Witerspoon. [Refer to Edwin Bearss' The Vicksburg Campaign, Volume I, page 226; and Volume III, pages 779, 870, and 965.]
