Multiple monument located outside of Vicksburg National Military Park, on former park property in the City of Vicksburg, on the west side of Mission 66, approximately 0.1 mile south of Indiana Avenue. Also an iron marker located on the east side, in the 2200 block of Mission 66. This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Alfred Cumming’s 3d Brigade, of Maj. Gen. Carter L. Stevenson’s Division, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton’s Army of Vicksburg, and commanded by Maj. Charles E. Broyles and Col. Jesse A. Glenn. Lt. E.C. Wilson was killed in action at the Battle of Champion Hill, 16 May 1863.
