Multiple monument located outside of Vicksburg National Military Park, on former park property in the City of Vicksburg, on the west side of Mission 66, approximately 0.1 mile south of Indiana Avenue. This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Alfred Cumming’s 3d Brigade, of Maj. Gen. Carter L. Stevenson’s Division, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton’s Army of Vicksburg, and commanded by Col. James A.W. Johnson. [Refer to Edwin Bearss’ The Vicksburg Campaign, Volume II, page 644 and Volume III, pages 872 and 964.]
