Monument is located on Graveyard Road 150 yards east of the Stockade Redan; also an iron tablet on the ridge 200' south of Graveyard Road, 400' east of the Stockade Redan; also an iron tablet 600' north of Park Tour Stop #5 near the tree line. This unit was attached to Maj. Gen. Francis P. Blair's 2nd Division of Maj. Gen. William T. Sherman's XV Army Corps and was commanded by Capt. Peter P. Wood. (Capt. William Cogswell commanded all 1st Illinois Light artillery.) [Refer to Gen. Blair of Missouri].
