Collections

This Native American pot found recently in the parks is one of more than 500,000 objects housed in the park museums.
This ceramic bowl is part of the parks' museum collections which, to date, number nearly 700,000 items. The bowl is estimated to be 200 to 800 years old.

Amphibians and reptiles live at all elevations within Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. They range from common (such as western fence lizards and garter snakes) to rare (such as the mountain yellow-legged frog) to locally extinct (such as the foothill yellow-legged frog).
