San Juan National Historic Site Announces

Closure of Fortifications

 

Walter J. Chavez, Superintendent of the San Juan National Historic Site, announced that National Park Service staff will begin shutting down operations at the fortifications of San Juan National Historic Site by close of business today in anticipation of Tropical Storm Omar. In addition, the fortifications of Castillo San Cristobal and Castillo San Felipe del Morro will be closed on Wednesday, October 15, 2008.  

 

We will continue to provide updates regarding our emergency operations and re-opening of the fortifications to the public. For additional information, you can call Walter J. Chavez or Aleta Knight at (787) 729-6777.

Chavez, Superintendente del Sitio Histórico Nacional de San Juan, anuncio hoy que personal del National Park Service comenzara a cerrar operaciones en las fortificaciones del San Juan National Historic Site al cierre de operaciones de hoy anticipando la tormenta tropical Omar. También, las fortificaciones del Castillo San Cristobal y Castillo San Felipe del Morro estarán cerrados el miércoles, 15 de octubre de 2008.
