OPERATING HOURS

Little River Canyon National Preserve Headquarters

  • Mon-Fri 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM (CST)
  • Saturday - 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM (CST)
  • Closed on all federal holidays.

Canyon Mouth Picnic Area

  • 8:00 AM until Dark.
  • There is a $3 user fee per vehicle for this area.

The areas below are open 7 days a week, daylight hours only.

  • Little River Falls
  • Canyon/Overlooks on Scenic Drive
  • Little Falls  
  • Backcountry Area

 

CAMPING SEASON

Camping in the Backcountry Area is allowed from February 1 - September 30 only at the three primitive campsites. One group per site. No reservations required, first come first served. All tents must be on tent pad (10x20). Only one tent pad per site.

Camping is not allowed in the canyon.
