Lake Mead Visitor Center Renovation

The Lake Mead Visitor Center is currently closed for year-long renovations. The project includes creating a new park film and upgrading this historic building to Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Silver status for energy and environmental efficiency. Our temporary visitor center is located at 601 Nevada Way, Boulder City, Nevada. Exhibits show what’s new at Lake Mead NRA each season. Maps are available from our informed and friendly staff. The park bookstore offers books, games and toys.

The Visitor Center is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., seven days a week. Please call: 702-293-8990.

The bookstores are operated by Western National Parks Association (WNPA), a cooperating partner with the National Park Service. Every purchase you make helps to support research and educational programs at Lake Mead National Recreation Area. More information about WNPA can be found at www.wnpa.org.
