Portion of Mineral Springs Road Closed during Maple Sugar Time

The National Park Service will close off the portion of Mineral Springs Road between Oak Hill Road and U.S. Highway 20, in Porter, Indiana, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 1, 2, 8, and 9. This closure will allow visitors to Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore’s Maple Sugar Time to safely park and walk into the program site at Chellberg Farm.

Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is one of 391 units of the National Park System ranging from Yellowstone to the Statue of Liberty. Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore includes 15 miles of the southern shoreline of Lake Michigan and 15,000 acres of beach, woods, marshes, and prairie in the northwest corner of Indiana.
