Maps are available in several formats and sizes. The most detailed maps are provided in pdf format.

Please note: The Kahuku Unit of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park is only open on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is closed on the first Saturday of each month. The gate is locked at 3:00 p.m.

The Kamehameha Butterfly is orange and black, with white spots.

Only two butterflies found in Hawai`i are native. The Kamehameha Butterfly (Vanessa tameamea) is Hawai`i's state insect, brightly colored, and larger than the Blackburn's blue (Udara blackburni).
