Grand Canyon, Ariz. – In honor of those that serve and have served in the United States military, national park units around the country, including Grand Canyon National Park, will be offering everyone fee-free entry during the Veterans Day weekend. The fee free designation applies to the entire weekend, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, November 9-11. Visitors who arrive on November 9, 10 or 11 will be allowed to enter the park free of charge. Those who plan to enter (or re-enter) the park after November 11 will be charged the regular entrance fee. Park visitors are reminded that the fee-free designation applies to entrance fees only and does not affect fees for camping, reservations, tours, or use of concessions. Park entrance stations will have park passes such as Interagency Senior, Annual and Access Passes, and the Annual Military Pass. Active duty members of the U.S. Military and their dependents can also pick up a free Annual Pass. Those wishing to obtain a pass must show a current, valid military identification card.
