Welcome to Environmental Education at Grand Canyon National Park.

Linking the preservation of Grand Canyon National Park to the conservation of your backyard and community.

 

We invite you and your students to participate in the park's environmental education program.

The above links will take you to detailed information on the programs we offer.


Registration for the 2011-2012 school year will not begin until August 24, 2011 for fall field trips occurring September 19 - November 18, 2011. Spring field trip registration will begin September 7, 2011 for programs occurring March 21-May 25, 2012.

Did You Know?
Each year, thousands of hikers enter the Grand Canyon on the Bright Angel Trail. They follow a route established by prehistoric people for two key reasons: water and access. Water emerges from springs at Indian Garden, and a fault creates a break in the cliffs, providing access to the springs.
