The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area has opened two new restroom facilities, replacing facilities damaged beyond repair by last fall’s flooding. The first is located next to the pavilion at Johnson Ferry North, replacing the old restrooms in the pavilion. The second facility is located at the Paces Mill unit replacing the old concessioner/restroom building. The new facilities feature energy and water saving features, using sustainable construction methods. These new facilities represent a significant improvement of park structures for the benefit of the park visitors.
