Temporary Trail Detour at Cochran Shoals

SANDY SPRINGS, GA: From Monday, February 18 through Monday, March 11, sections of the Cochran Shoals multi-use loop trail will be detoured. The detour will be in place continuously throughout this time and will affect a 500-foot segment of the upland (northwest) side of the trail beginning at the Columns Drive parking lot.

The purpose of the detour is to ensure visitor safety during required maintenance of the Colonial Pipeline gas transmission easement. The maintenance work will consist of replacing a segment of the pipeline.
