Beginning Monday, September 27, the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area will be completing repairs to the Hewlett Field river access ramp located in the park's Island Ford unit in Sandy Springs, GA. The existing concrete ramp was badly damaged during flood events in September of 2009 and has continued to degrade over the past year. The ramp will be out of service for approximately 10 days and, barring unexpected setbacks, should be available for use by the weekend of October 8. For more information on the project, please contact Rick Slade at 678-538-1321.
