Junior Ranger Day
Ranger programs and special events at the Cape Lookout Light Station Visitor Center and Harkers Island Visitor Center are canceled beginning March 31, 2013 until further notice.
Volunteers will continue to give programs on the history of the lighthouse on the Keepers' Quarters porch near the Lighthouse.
Experience the seashore through Ranger led programs and earn the limited edition Junior Ranger Day items such as patches, badges, and certificates as you learn about the plants, animals, and people who have weathered the storms of Cape Lookout.
All activities are free to the public and will take place at Shell Point across from the Harkers Island Visitor Center.
Groups are asked to contact the park (252-728-2250 or e-mail us) to let us know how many people you plan to bring.
More information on the Junior Ranger program at Cape Lookout can be found on the Junior Ranger page.
