Opening Dates and Reservations for Great Island Cabins

Harkers Island, North Carolina -- Superintendent Russel J. Wilson announced the 2009 operating season and opening of reservations for the Great Island cabins on South Core Banks of Cape Lookout National Seashore.
The Great Island cabins will open on Monday, March 30, 2009 and will operate until December 4, 2009. Visitors wishing to reserve a cabin at the Great Island Camp can do so by calling the National Park Service reservation number (252-241-6783), from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday beginning on Monday, January 12, 2009.
