As part of the ongoing program to open traditional vistas in Acadia National Park, park crews, in partnership with the Forestry Department of the University of Maine, will begin work on the restoration of the second vista overlooking Eagle Lake, located 0.7 miles south of the Cadillac Mountain entrance on Park Loop Road. Crews will have in place an overhead cable system to remove the trees across 0.8 acres of the overgrown vista. The paved pullout at this location will be blocked off to vehicle access during the next few weeks while crews work to restore the view from this historic overlook. For more information, call 207-288-3338.
