COPPER CENTER, ALASKA – The Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Subsistence Resource Commission will meet at the Tok Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center and virtually by Microsoft Teams and teleconference on Thursday, September 25 and Friday, September 26. The meeting will consider a range of issues related to subsistence hunting and fishing in the park. This is an alternate meeting location to what is listed in the Federal Register notice in order to meet technological needs.
Commission business will include an opportunity to comment on proposals to change federal subsistence hunting regulations in Game Management Units 11, 12, and 13. You can find the proposals at the Office of Subsistence Management website. A variety of reports from park staff and partners will also be presented.
The meeting is open to the public. Public testimony opportunities will be provided, and members of the public are encouraged to participate. On September 25, the meeting will start at 9 AM and recess for the day at 5 PM or upon completion of business. On September 26, the meeting will start at 9 AM and continue until business is completed. If business is completed on September 25 the meeting will adjourn and no meeting will take place on September 26.
The meeting agenda and other meeting materials will be posted on the park website approximately one week before the meeting at https://go.nps.gov/2025WRSTSRCMeeting.
