It's the centennial year for the National Park Service and the agency invites people of all ages to discover the national parks in their community through volunteerism. Volunteers who contribute 201.6 hours of service between Jan. 1, 2016 and Dec. 31, 2016 can earn a Centennial Volunteer Challenge Coin. Will you accept this volunteer challenge?
Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Wright Brothers National Memorial, and Fort Raleigh National Historic Site are currently looking for dedicated volunteers to assist in various areas:

Museum Aide (Fort Raleigh National Historic Site) – Assist with a number of general curatorial duties at the Museum Resource Center

Receptionist (Fort Raleigh National Historic Site) – Provide customer service at the front desk and provide administration support

Landscaper (Fort Raleigh National Historic Site) – Assist with maintaining park grounds. (i.e. raking, weeding, pruning.)

Maintenance Assistant (Fort Raleigh National Historic Site & Cape Hatteras National Seashore--Hatteras Island) – Assist with various maintenance projects.

Protection Division Assistant (Fort Raleigh National Historic Site & Cape Hatteras National Seashore--Bodie Island) – Help with the hunting program, organizing/cleaning caches, sign inventory, and park safety program

Visitor Center Assistant (Wright Brothers National Memorial & Fort Raleigh National Historic Site) – Provide customer service at the front desk
